Nigerian CTC Tea is a dream come true since it's onset in February, 2016.

Initially Tea Consultants India were given assignment by Ms Dangote to prepare a viability report written by Shamol Ghoshal & Dr Manual Agriculturalist TRA / UPASI. on viability of Maisamari Tea Estate located in Tarabba Plateau, the offer was not taken up but later Gov Darius had taken up the assignment of revival of an abandoned property .

The Mambila project was conceived in November, 2013 when Mr Bulus Votapwa was sent to India with no definite mandate since his going to China to be trained on Green Tea processing machinery operations was frustrated. The MD/CEO Mal. Ibrahim Nunga Nwunuji said he has a friend in India Mr Shamol Ghoshal i will link you up to him so you can go to India. Just go to India Bulus since China is not working. Note that Mr Shamol was earlier in Nigeria in 2022 to inspect SM Nguroje Tea garden at Maisamari on the orders of Dangote and decided to visit the only Tea Estate in Nigeria then, Mambila Beverages Nigeria Limited, Kakara. 

Mr Bulus secured a Visa through Hamilton Engineering Company, Kolkata, India and went for a 7 days working days visit. 

At Kolkata, visit to various Tea gardens at Dooars, Darjeeling etc., Tea packing and blending factories and CTC manufacturing company MESCO and Hamilton Engineering was done and this spark the vision of having CTC Tea processing machinery at Mambila. 

The Vision came to pass when quotation for the machinery was received in March, 2015 to replace the LTP machinery that was on ground. 

The machinery was received was received in November and the process of Installation commenced but the Consultant Mr Shamol Ghoshal was not ready to come for installation again with the MESCO Engineers due to assignments he has at hands during the same time. Pressure was mounted on him by Mr Bulus to come since the project was planned alongside him and there are possibilities of new Machinery for the Maisamari Farms which was newly incorporated then. As God will have it, Mr Shamol Ghoshal finally came with Mr Ashis to install and commission the machinery. 

The machinery was installed and commission in June 2015 by Arc. Darius Ishaku, The then Executive Governor of Taraba State.  

In the course of Installation, discussions for the Maisamari Farms machinery was started and it design was made by Mr Shamol Ghoshal, Mr Ashis and Mr Bulus with the intent of having more finer grades. The design was approved by the owners and machinery was procured and installed in 2017. 

It is worthy to note that during the course of the two installations, discussions for the third CTC was initiated for Alhaji Bakoshi. 

The Bakoshi machinery was installed and commissioned in 2023 as NPL company whose machinery came from Workson Machinery. 

In all these, Mr Shamol Ghoshal and Mr Bulus Votapwa are the forces behind the CTC Tea machineries successful stories in Nigeria with the possibility of the 4th and 5th machinery.
